This process
involves
a comprehensive study of the systems and procedures existing in
an organisation in the areas of
finance and accounts
(inventory, sales, purchase, fixed assets etc.) and other production-related areas.
A critical analysis is done in respect of possible improvement in business process methodologies in these areas with regard to streamlining, simplifying operations with enhanced control measures at reduced costs.
It includes basically a mapping of the existing organization structure , existing documentation flows, reporting levels and delegated authorities and responsibilities to identify areas of weaknesses. The process also generally involves assistance in integration of inventory, payroll, shop floor and finance and accounts modules into an integrated system .
